The Big Bullies

Whose expectations am I trying to fulfill? My own or those of someone else?

Did you ask yourself these questions when you felt like quitting? or when you were fed up with your job or your boss?

I advocate for equal rights- the proper work and personal life balance.

A lifestyle that everyone should have in this era. We have the technology- exponentially growing to make our lives easier to connect with people better and to finish our tasks faster.

yet,

I feel like people are still suffering especially those who are working in the social sector.

Having conversations with organizations in this sector made me realize that a lot of work has to be done, they help people and want to create impact however internally people are emotionally drained, they serve others before themselves.

Then you ask, why?

To fulfill the expectations of others but not theirs.

How might we improve the work and personal life balance situation within an organization?

How do you pass on to young generations the idea of self-care? empathy? or co-creation? when the culture you have is to please people even if you are tired inside and not well taken care of?

How do we move forward as a person who wants to create an impact or positively contribute to change when you are conflicted and troubled inside?

What do you think?

I believe in happy endings and true love. I always go on adventures that are great and wild. My eyes, my feet and my heart have taken me to so many places from Southeast Asia to North America to India and Brazil. I am a restless being ; a traveling heart. I travel to seek other places, other lives and other souls. I live in coffeeshops and long for sunsets and roadtrips. I like the airports, but the people are what make it all worth while. I love to meet new people, learn from them, and inspire them. I am a woman with big dreams and goals. I work hard to achieve my goals through optimism, persistence, patience, courage and sincerety.
